You wish.

(If you’ve read all these or want more, I also have a drarry recs blog)

These are my absoulte favourites (hence not that many).

I rarely read anything other than Drarry so for now, that’s all you will find here. Perhaps you can find other pairings in the future.

Basically, I only like realistic - if you will - and well written stories. It’s important to me that they are in-character, so you won’t find much fluff here since neither of them are in my eyes particularly fluffy people.

Length: One-shot
Rating:
PG-13
Era: Hogwarts
Summary: The Lip-Lock Jinx, a jinx that renders the victim mute that can only be undone in two ways: if the caster reverses the spell on the victim, or if the victim serves the purpose of the jinx and kisses the person that they desire. It’s just Harry’s luck that he gets jinxed by Ginny Weasley and that he’s in love with Draco Malfoy.
Comments: This is probably the best one-shot I’ve ever read. I know most of you rejects this low rating, but I don’t care because this one is a must read.

Length: Chaptered
Rating:
R
Era:
Hogwarts
Summary:
Draco is afraid of living and Harry is afraid of dying, but sometimes the choice isn’t offered. Draco’s got to learn what it is to really live, while showing Harry how beautiful the world really is when you’re not too scared to see it.
Comments: A classic. This one was the first fanfiction I ever read. It caught me at the first line and help me kept all the way through. I really hate to spoil, but if you are sensitive, do not read it. It had me crying for two full hours.
Warninngs: self harm, major character’s death

Length: Chaptered

T
Era: Hogwarts
Summary:  Draco swore revenge on Harry for Lucius’s imprisonment, and for once, he keeps his promise. The old rivalry turns deadly when Draco abducts Harry for Voldemort. But when Draco’s world turns upside down, the fight to save himself and Harry begins.
Comments: Another classic. This one is really long but well worth reading. A lot of suspense and made me squeal several times.

-

Length: Chaptered
Rating:
M
Era: Adult (kinda)
Summary:   Harry is about to discover that the steepest learning curve comes after Healer training, and that second chances can be found in unexpected places.
Comments: I LOVED this one. Perfectly balanced.

-

Length: Chaptered
Rating:
M
Era: Post-war, 8th year
Summary:  Harry thinks that he’s already spent quite enough time sharing a mind with someone else, thankyouverymuch. A miscast Legilimency spell says otherwise…
Comments: Once again a classic. Amazing, frustrating, warming and entertaining. Deep and yet bright.

-

Length: Chaptered
Rating:
NC-17
Era: Post-war
Summary: Draco breeds owls, Harry’s an Auror, and an owl named Romeo is going to bring them together.
Comments: To be honest, I don’t really remember much about this one; it’s been a while since I read it. But I do remember jumping on the chair screaming at Harry and Draco while reading it. And that’s usually a good sign.
-
Length: Chaptered
Rating:
M
Era: Post-war
Summary:  Harry doesn’t have a hero complex, he just really wants to help. However, he gets more than he bargained for after rescuing Draco Malfoy from an isolation cell in Saint Mungo’s…
Comments: I LOVED THIS ONE. So fucking much. I have nothing more to add.
Warnings: Mentions of suicide and self harm (although this is more about the recovering than the actual doing it)
-
Length: Chaptered
Rating:
T
Era: Post-war, 8th year
Summary:   Harry and Draco find out the hard way that the line between hate and love is a fine one, and that somewhere between the Battle of Hogwarts and being thrust back together as Hogwarts eighth years, they may have just crossed it.
Comments: Perfection. The closest to my headcanon I have ever read. Had me up to 5am because it was so good.
-
Length: Words: 46 310 (Neither chaptered nor a oneshot)
Rating:
M
Era: Post-war
Summary:  Draco Malfoy is waiting for his real life to begin, and it appears that he’s not the only one. Coffee, charity, and the wisdom of the elderly.
Comments: I am rather picky when it comes to plots, and this plot isn’t mind-blowing. It’s good - better than good - but it had more of a oneshot’s plot than a novel of 46k words’. Which is why I can’t get why I love it so much. I couldn’t tear myself away. I fucking emailed it to myself so that I could read on my phone while taking a bath. I believe its existence’s only purpouse is to make a fangirl explode internally with overly much, vibrating otp-feels.
Extremely well-written and wonderful.
-
Length: Oneshot
Rating:
M
Era: (Recently) Post-war, graduation
Summary:   Hogwarts graduation night, and Draco escapes to the top of the Astronomy Tower.
Comments: The perfect oneshot. Short, hot and beautiful.

-
Length: Oneshot
Rating: R
(I know, I know, but come on, it’s a good fic)
Era: Post-war
Summary: One day can change everything.
Comments: Funny, angsty, light and deep. It’s hard to describe but I definitely enjoyed it.

I will definitely expand the list, but for now this will do.
